The Work-Based Learning program (formerly Co-op) provides students opportunities to explore career interests. The learning experience can range from short-term engagements such as mock interviews, job shadows, and guest speakers to long-term engagements including career training and preparation.
Depending on the type of learning experience, the pupil might be engaged for one hour, one day, one semester, or even one year.
Juniors and Seniors have the option to participate in on-site career training and preparation. The Work-Based Learning program recognizes the value of supervised work as a learning experience. The employer and school join together for a business educational partnership. Students will experience in-depth, first-hand engagement with tasks required of a given career field, that are aligned to curriculum, instruction, and program standards.
