The backbone of any educational institution, regardless of whatever else it offers, needs to be its academic program. Central High School, after all, is part of a school district that prides itself on classroom accomplishments and has spent nearly 100 years preparing students with a background for higher achievements.

The educational offerings at BCC have changed drastically over the years just as the requirements for knowledge have changed in everyday life. Library card catalogs are being supplemented with Internet access, physical education is augmented by Dance Aerobics and Team Sports, while mathematics and science have received the additions of Calculus and Human Physiology. Whatever the area, former skills have been combined with current needs to provide students with a strong background in basic and advanced skills.
